What this page measures

This page explains what Benefitcheckusa.com measures while you read it, who receives that information, and how to limit it.

What is recorded

When you open a page here, a measurement tag from Meta (the company that runs Facebook and Instagram) may record:

  • the page you are reading, the address of the page you arrived from, and the time of your visit
  • technical details about your browser and device, such as its type, settings and operating system
  • a Meta advertising cookie named _fbp stored in your browser, plus a short campaign code named _fbc when you arrived by clicking an ad
  • the moment you tap the "Check My Name Now" button, recorded as a lead event, so we can see how many visitors reach that point

Why it is used

The recorded visit is used for two purposes only: measurement (counting and reporting page visits) and ad performance (seeing whether our Facebook and Instagram ads bring people to this page, and improving who is shown them). We do not sell your information.

What this page does not collect

This page asks for no name, email address, phone number or other personal detail, and sends none to Meta. The search form you are sent to next is run by another company, which has its own terms and privacy information that apply to whatever you enter there.

Where the tag is switched off

In countries and territories whose law requires your consent before an advertising tag may run — including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — we do not load the tag at all, and we do not show a consent banner. Visitors there are not measured by Meta. We also keep the tag switched off whenever we cannot reliably tell which region a visit comes from.

How to limit or withdraw measurement

  • Clear or block the _fbp and _fbc cookies in your browser settings. Removing them stops the tag recognising your browser on later visits.
  • Turn on your browser's tracking-protection settings, or use a privacy extension that blocks Facebook trackers.
  • Use Meta's own advertising controls on Facebook and Instagram to limit how your activity is used for ads.

Ad clicks and impressions

Whether or not this page measures your visit, Meta still counts the ad clicks and impressions on its own platforms, because those happen there and not here.
